Overview
Both my books, 24/7 and Trattoria, are set in fun Las Vegas. To celebrate the marvelous buzz they've created, I wanted to do something special. There's no better way to celebrate than to send one lucky winner to see the city that inspired the novels.
24/7 has been getting rave reviews from critics and readers alike. Fun, sexy, hip, hilarious, and hot are how it's often described. The same could be said of Las Vegas. So now is the perfect time to check out the novel, and have a chance to check out this unique city.
Here's what you do:
1) Purchase a copy of my book, 24/7, from any source.
2) Send me proof of purchase in the following way:
~ Snail mail me your complete receipt, with your cc information blacked out.
~ Along with receipt, enclose the bar code square from the back of the actual book.
3) Along with your receipt and proof of purchase, send me your contact information. (Name, address, e-mail -- please note, this information will be used for prize notification purposes ONLY. It will not be shared with any other sources.)
4) Along with proof of purchase, receipt, and contact information, write a brief (100-500 words) essay on why you want to go to Vegas.
~This is your key to winning the contest! All the essays will be read and scored, and the writer of the highest scoring essay will win the grand prize trip to Las Vegas. So make it funny, make it crazy, but most of all, make it catch my eye!
5) With receipt, proof of purchase, and contact info sent, your essay will be your entry into the contest to win a Vegas Vacation prize package.
~ After the contest deadline closes, I will personally read all the essay entries, and pick the best one. The writer of the winning essay will be the winner of the Las Vegas Vacation Giveaway Contest!

2) SEND ME PROOF OF PURCHASE
~ Enclose either the original receipt, or a photocopy. But please black out any credit card information!
~ Enclose the original bar code label from the back cover of the book or books!
please note! This WILL require you to cut the back cover of the book. But due to the easy forgery of receipts and the large amount of this prize, I need verification of purchase in this manner. I apologize.
~ Enclose the following information, either typed or neatly printed:

You also MUST copy the following statement and then sign the form:

Please note, I must have valid contact information, not only for prize disbursement, but in case there is a problem with your entry, I will contact you for clarification.
3) WRITE YOUR ESSAY (or essays), stating why you want to go to Vegas, and attach it to your contact information.
~ Keep them short, around 100-500 words.
~ Please either type them or print neatly! If I can't read the essay, I'll have a hard time deciding if it's the best one I've seen!
~ Be honest, be creative, be crazy, or be eloquent. This is your essay, and it's got to make you stand out from the crowd. I'm not looking for anything specific, just something that catches my eye, or makes me laugh, or simply makes me say, "Right on!"
~ Just remember, this isn't a random drawing, this is how I'll be picking the winner. So do your best and give it your all! This is your chance to shine, and to cash in on a great reward!
4) Send the information, proof of purchase, and your essay to:

8) One lucky winner will be living it up and doubling down in Vegas at fabulous Caesars Palace!

RULES

4) Prize package includes airfare and hotel vouchers that must be used within one year of contest close.
5) Chances of winning depend on number of entrants.
6) Winner does not hold Susan DiPlacido liable for any accident, injury, or misfortune that could occur on the trip.

7) Travel and hotel vouchers will be provided, but the winner will be responsible for choosing the dates and booking their own vacation.
8) Total prize package of airfare vouchers, hotel certificates, and bonus mad money will not exceed $1,000.
9) Winner agrees to have his/her name posted on Susan's website and newsletter when announcing the contest finale.
~ No other personal information will be made public -- your name only.
